Acne Program Step 12 Change The Way You Think

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 5:10 pm

Your thoughts have a lot to do with why you have acne. Most people will not even give this idea a single thought. You can get rid of acne without changing your way of thinking, but your thoughts will create some other illness that you might not see.

Most illnesses begin with the way you think, the way you are, or your basic philosophy. Your thoughts create chemicals that flow into your blood and affect the function of your entire body.

So if you have acne, it was created by the way you think. If you have ulcers, heart problems, or anything else, these were created by the way you think. Your thinking prevents you from eating and doing the things that you need to do to have good health or clear clean skin.

If you have acne or any disease, it is an opportunity for you to stop and think about why you have it. Acne is an expression of your thinking. Everything about you ? the way you walk, the way you talk, the way you dress, that way you eat, the diseases you come down with, the way you do everything ? originates in your thought process.

Here is one place to start your self-examination.

Start by being more accepting of yourself. What I have learned in the past is that no matter how much you put yourself down or how critical you are of yourself, it will not change the world around you. The world and you are still the same.

So, just get over it. Stop fighting who you are.

Accept yourself as you are and get on with the purpose of your life. Just get on with it. Don?t worry about what other people are thinking and doing. That?s their problem not yours.

You need to learn how to ?face yourself.? When you have acne you may not want to look at yourself and face who you are??

If you have acne, there is always some underlying emotions and feelings that are being expressed by your acne. Look into yourself and try to see what you are saying with your acne.

If you cannot find it, see if you can relate it to constipation. Constipation and a toxic colon is typically the cause of acne. But to go one-step further, all physical illness are created by some emotional unbalance that you are holding onto.

Acne can be a representation of repressed traumas that you have experienced as a child when you were growing up. I know you may not want to hear this. But, Acne can be an expression of those traumas trying to burst out of the repressive mechanisms that your body creates to prevent you from facing these traumas until you are ready to do so.

Some effort has to be make to connect and release these traumas, otherwise as you clear your face these traumas can move to some other parts of your body where they will be unseen and destroy tissue and body functions.

Cellular regeneration is the key to a healthy, youthful skin and Oxy-Skin provides a way of doing this. This formula helps to maintain the normal elasticity of collagen, upon which the outer layers of skin rest, and encourage the regeneration of new cells.

By using the whole leaf process, R PUR Aloe has combined the virtues of the ancient aloe with modern research and technology to produce the optimum nutritional potency in each formula.

11 tips for overseas hospital treatment

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 2:32 am

You could have sworn that sushi smelt funny.? Unfortunately that thought is two hours too late and now you’re curled up in the toilet inventing a new guttural language.?

And then a new fear strikes you.? You’re in a foreign country, alone, and you really should go to hospital. Or should you? What do you need to know? What should you look out for?

Dr Sneh Khemka, Bupa International’s Medical Director, tells you what to look out for if you need hospitalisation overseas.

Being admitted to hospital

1. Choose the best option

If you’re being admitted as an emergency or taken by ambulance, you often won’t have much choice in where you go.? However, if you can exercise choice, it’s important to select the best hospital for you – does it have the right services (eg a CT scanner), is it clean, can the staff speak your language etc?

2. Let your insurer know

Once there, you should let your insurer know you have been admitted as soon as possible so you can ensure you are covered for all treatments that you receive.? If you can let them know before you attend, they may even be able to point you to the best facility in town.

3. Ask questions

Don’t be afraid to ask questions that may seem difficult – it is important that you know what is happening to you, and instead of being offended, medical staff have a duty of care to ensure you are kept up to speed with what’s going on.

4. Provide the right information

You will be asked for your demographic details (age, sex, next of kin etc) and your medical history.? It is a good idea to carry with you a list of previous operations and treatments you may have had, along with a list of medications and allergies.

You will also be asked about how you are going to pay for treatment.? Without insurance, it can be frighteningly expensive, so you’re best to be covered and you can give them the contact details for your company who should then be able to settle your bills.

What to look out for?

5. Location is important

Hospitals do not have the same standards of care everywhere. Depending on which country you are in, and whether you are in a big city or the rural countryside, hospitals can differ greatly.? Many developed countries will have a government regulation committee that will inspect all hospitals to make sure there is a minimum standard of care.? However, in other areas it is completely unregulated.

Generally speaking, hospitals in developing countries have less

regulation and lower standards than those in developed nations.?

Sub-saharan Africa is notorious for its underfunded and understaffed

institutions and parts of South America have poor legacies for the

state of healthcare.? However, South East Asia and the Indian

subcontinent have some of the best hospitals in the world.? It’s all a

matter of choosing the right place.

6. Cleanliness is next to…

As a general rule of thumb, cleanliness is a good indicator of the level of safety in a hospital.? Word of mouth is also a good way of gauging a hospital’s reputation.? However, if you are insured with someone like Bupa International, you will more reliably be able to find out which are the good and bad places, as we have experience and check hospitals around the world for quality.

7. Consider benefits of private vs. public hospitals

Private hospitals are generally as good as public hospitals and in many places often better.? Private hospitals tend to have better

funding and can therefore afford better equipment and facilities.

However,

public hospitals may offer a range of services that private ones

cannot, including intensive care units, emergency cardiac interventions

and a wider range of staff for paramedical services such as

physiotherapy and radiology.

What role does my insurer play?

8. Returning home is not necessarily the best option

It is not always the best option to medivac you home, Bupa International runs a full medivac servicec called WMA (Worldwide Medical Assistance).? WMA get calls from all over the world, and because we know the local services and hospitals, we can often find you excellent treatment without having to fly you back home, meaning you can carry on your trip after treatment.? We may need to send you to a nearby country, but if you need urgent attention, having you in an aeroplane for an extended period is not the best idea.

In determining whether or not to medivac a patient home, we look at all the medical details of the customer, what medical services they are likely to need, and the level of cover that they have purchased.? We also take into account the personal preferences of the customer, and often will pay for a family member to travel with them should there be the need.

Then we look at where will be the best place to send them so they can get the best and quickest access to the treatment they need.

9. Understand the hospital fees and charges

There is an emerging problem amongst certain hospitals that, if incentivised in the wrong way, they are more likely to intervene with a procedure or test which may not be entirely necessary.? This is the case with not only foreign visitors, but local patients as well.

We encourage our customers to let us know in advance of any planned treatment so we can talk through the options with both the patient and the doctor, and ensure that they are acting in a medically sound manner, and not just doing things for the sake of a few extra bucks.

For hospital out-patients, you will need to pay the bill when you are discharged and make a claim from your insurer later.? For more serious problems or hospital in-patient admissions, your insurer will liase with the hospital directly about the bill.

Avoiding hospital in the first place

10. Take your own first aid kit

An emergency medical kit

always comes in handy, but what you can do with one is limited.? Kits

should ideally contain basic painkillers, antiseptic, anti-diarrhoea

and rehydration preparations, bandages and plasters.? Customs and

prescription laws restrict the amount you can carry around with you.

For

any worrying conditions, it is always best to seek expert medical

advice – things can be picked up before they develop into major

problems and sometimes you need a doctor to give you medications you

cannot otherwise access.

If you take any medications, eg

insulin, it is essential to keep an adequate supply, and to keep stores

in two separate bags in case one is lost. Also, if you are

anaphylactic, don’t forget to take adrenaline with you (and give your

travelling companion instructions on how to use it).

11.? Use your common sense

The biggest single problem that the traveller will face is dehydration (from diarrheoa and vomiting).? Access to a plentiful supply of rehydration salts and clean drinking water is paramount.

And making sure you’re adequately insured so that not only will your bills be paid, but you’ll have a ‘friend’ that can help you through particularly troublesome times.

Been to hospital whilst travelling?? Share your stories below to help others stay safe on the road.

Oooh, time to go to hospital? Here's what you need to know when you're travelling overseas

14 Ways to Improve Sleep Now!

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:38 pm

Sleep disturbance or insomnia is not uncommon in women starting at midlife. While this may be due to a physical concern, usually it’s not. Let’s discuss some things you can do NOW to improve your sleep.

•Good sleep is a component of good health. Things that you do for good health are essential and will directly impact your quality of sleep. This means eating a healthy diet, regular exercise and good daily multivitamin/mineral supplements.

•A healthy diet that is high in phytoestrogens such as fruits and vegetables may help if the cause of your sleep disturbance happens to be related to being perimenopausal. Apples, carrots, cherries, green beans, oats, peas, potatoes, soybeans and sprouts - just to mention a few!

•Avoid stimulating agents such as nicotine and caffeine – that includes coffee, green tea, soft drinks, and chocolate. Even one cup of coffee in the morning can affect sleep quality hours later. We, as women, tend to metabolize caffeine much slower than men. If you smoke or chew tobacco…quit. Short of that, avoid smoking/chewing within a few hours of going to bed.

•Sleep in a dark room. (How bright is your illuminated clock?)

•Develop a sleep routine: going to bed at the same time; rituals such as having a cup of relaxing tea and then washing up, and the like.

 •Avoid taking naps.

•Is your sleeping space comfortable? Look at light, noise and temperature. How about your bed? Is it too firm or too soft?

•Avoid late night heavy meals. However, a light snack at bedtime may be helpful.

•Try relaxation – mediate, take a bath, listen to soft music, read a gentle book, get a massage.

•Avoid the news and other violent or emotional stimulation before bed! It’s hardly relaxing!

•Avoid alcohol late in the day. It can cause waking in the night and impairs sleep quality.

•Limit your bed activities to sleep and sex.

•If you cannot sleep – get up and do something until you can sleep.

•If worries are keeping you awake, try journaling – it may provide a way for you to “release” the worry onto paper and thus relax and sleep.

There are natural supplements that can be tried. If you are a milk drinker, consider having a glass of warm milk. Milk when it is warm releases tryptophan, the same substance that was in that Thanksgiving turkey that had you napping. On the other hand, I recently read that warm milk also has substances that can keep you awake. Let your own body tell you what it likes about milk.

Other suggestions include valerian root, melatonin, passion flower and of course the chamomile, catnip, anise or fennel teas. Some companies package teas in their own formulations for sleep, such as "Sleepy Time". Your local herbalist or health food store may also be able to give you suggestions. As with anything else, the key to try different things and see what you respond to.

Fantastic Places to Shop in Southampton

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 7:52 am

In Southampton, there are key areas to shop, one area being, West Quay Shopping Centre. West Quay Shopping Centre has many places to eat and drink, mainly on the third floor, such as, McDonald’s, Harry Ramsden’s, Nando’s, Café Giardino and Pizza Hut. The opening times are, Mon-Fri: 9am-8pm, Sat: 9am-7pm, Sun: 11am-5pm; however some retail stores have different opening and closing times. West Quay has over 90 shops, including major retailers such as, Marks & Spencer, French Connection, John Lewis, Zara, River Island and Coast Dune. For those of you who love donuts, Krispy Kreme is recommended and is on the Lower Shopping level.

Another key place to shop in Southampton is the Bargate shopping centre, which has approximately 35 outlet stores, including, the latest, fashions and music. Bargate shopping centre also has a variety of gifts and toys, a nail salon, and a photographic studio. The facilities in Bargate shopping centre are public toilets, which are accessible for people in wheel chairs. Some stores in Bargate Shopping Centre are, Underground Clothing, Gosh, Tees, Reggers Cafe and Trendsetters. If you use satellite navigation to get around, you may need a post code, which is, SO14 1HF. For further information on Bargate Shopping Centre, call 08700 11 0488.

One of my other favourite shopping locations in Southampton is, The Mall Southampton. Some of the stores in The Mall Southampton are, Bay Trading, Disney Store, Matalan and Poundland. The opening hours are Mon-Wed: 9am-6pm, Thurs: 9am-7.30pm, Fri-Sat: 9am-6pm and Sun: 11am-5pm. Finding parking can be difficult, however near The Mall Southampton, there are many car parks with plenty of spaces. The main car park used for The Mall Southampton is the multi storey car park called Marlands. This car park is open 24/7. There are facilities for disabled people. Firstly there are disabled toilets which are on the first floor. This means they are easily accessible. As well as the disabled toilets, there are lifts, for those who have difficulty using the stairs. Also the main entrance is big enough for wheel chairs. After a day of shopping, it’s nice to relax and have a snack, or something to drink. In The Mall Southampton, there is Starbucks, BB’s Coffee & Muffins, Pasta Bar, The Shed and Costa Coffee. For more information about The Mall Southampton, call 02380 339 164.

Another of my favourite places to shop in Southampton is The Mall Marlands Shopping Centre. It has 60 stores spread across two floors. The main stores in The Mall Marlands Shopping Centre are Matalan, Disney Store and Poundland. The opening times are Mon-Wed: 9am-5.30pm, Thu: 9am-7pm, Fri-Sat: 9am-5.30pm and Sun: 10.30am-5pm. The facilities of the shopping centre are toilets, lifts, public phones and a refreshments area.

All of these shopping centres are pleasant places to shop and there is something to suite every budget. You’re sure to find some bargains. I recommend each of these shopping centres, as they are truly worth the visit. Getting to each of these shopping centres shouldn’t be a problem. The public transport around each shopping centre is very good. There are buses coming and going at most times of the day.

Holidays To Malta

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 1:11 pm

Author: Rick Freeman

Before you go on your holidays to Malta, you may wish to find out a little bit more about it. The Islands of Malta in the central Mediterranean Sea have only three large islands that are inhabited, with Malta Island being the most popular. You will find sunshine almost all year long enabling enjoyment of the spectacular beaches, safe bathing bays, the Blue Grotto, and other outdoor life. At the other extreme is touring historical artifacts that will greet you everywhere you look. Some archaeological sites are older than the Pyramids!

Approximately 7,000 years of history are still evident in the temples, fortified cities, museums with a wide variety of treasures, palaces, cathedrals, 364 churches, watchtowers, and unique villages. The old capital of Mdina is on one of the highest hills and is a medieval town. Some of the awesome gardens stem from the days of being part of the grounds for palaces and the palatial homes of rulers and go back to the 1600’s. Many give a grand view of the Grand Harbor.

The capital city of Malta is Valletta, which is a World Heritage Site. Former palaces have been made into museums such as the National Museum of Archaeology with prehistoric collections going back to 5200 BC and including temple carvings, animal and human figurines and statuettes, pottery, and ornaments.

Explore the Grandmaster’s Palace Armoury Museum, which has full suits of armour, guns, and cannons from the 15th century.

The National Museum of Fine Arts features paintings and sculptures along with silverware and silver snuffboxes.

When you are taking your Malta holidays, there are many cultural events that occur year round, such as an International Jazz Festival, Opera Festival, Arts Festival, Christmas Pantomime, music concerts, bands, classical music, and performing arts at the 18rh century National Theater. Historical parades and multi-vision shows take you back in time.

There are spas at the hotels and water sports, rock climbing, and hiking throughout the islands for those looking for healthy pursuits and exercising.

Local cuisine includes fresh fish, a traditional rabbit stew, multicultural dishes, and many fine wines.

Malta Properties 2009 Price Crash

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:50 pm

The sunny Mediterranean island of Malta may not be a super power or big player in world politics. Nevertheless, it holds its own even against much larger nations when it comes to the tourism industry. Malta tourism numbers remain steady despite a declining world economy.

The Republic of Malta, a member of the European Union, is located in the Mediterranean off the coast of Sicily. The country is actually an archipelago of seven small islands. It is located in prime Mediterranean territory, which is one factor that makes it such an appealing tourist destination.

Malta has long relied upon tourism as a driving force in its economy. Tourism dollars, in fact, are what keep it thriving. Good weather is often what draws first-time tourists to the area. A significant percentage of first-timers end up returning not just for the weather. Malta is rich in history, culture and activities which appeal to a wide range of travellers.

Malta tourism hasn’t always been the country’s economic staple. The country has been known for a number of industries throughout the last few centuries. Cotton and tobacco were once prominently grown. The next era saw shipping and trade as a driving force.

However, Malta’s economy began to decline in the 1940’s. It was then that the Maltese government began to shift its focus toward generating a sustainable economy through tourism. Malta entered the tourism market as a force to be reckoned with. Little has changed in that regard since.

Today Malta tourism remains a top economical factor, though the country also has a thriving limestone production industry. Tourists continue to flock to the islands for the balmy climate, sandy beaches and gorgeous scenery.

Malta, like many tourism dependent countries, watched closely as the world economy took a nosedive over the past few years. The government and tourism promoters waited anxiously to see if the economic downturn would collapse it.

Some changes have been reported in Malta tourism trends and patterns over the past year. However, much of these have been minor. Many businesses in the islands still report a steady flow of foreign visitors eager to spend money on their Mediterranean holidays.

One side effect of the economic downturn has been in the Maltese housing market. A government initiative to get more locals into home ownership in the 1980’s appears to have led to a surplus of Malta property for sale now.

The programme was aimed at reducing the need for social housing. Its mission was to see more working people and families able to afford their own homes. Cheap land and accessible loans helped thousands of middle class working Maltese purchase homes.

The country enjoyed several years of prosperity, until the world economy collapsed. Housing starts in Malta have dropped considerably in recent years. Not only are new homes not being built, existing homes are sitting empty. Many who got into the market during the housing initiative have moved or passed away. Many of these properties have simply been left vacant for the lack of local buyers.

While this phenomenon has been detrimental to the local housing economy, it may mean deals for foreign visitors. Some property owners have turned to renting out vacant homes to tourists. An abundance of economical rentals has been one catalyst in Malta tourism in 2009.

It may also mean good deals for foreigners looking to purchase property on the island. Malta is home to ex-patriots from both Europe and the rest of the world. It is also a second home or vacation home-away-from-home to many regular and long term visitors.

Malta tourism officials may focus on the housing situation as one way to turn its economy back around. Marketing vacant homes to foreign buyers and renters may be one small way to keep visitors coming back to the island.
